What Is NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program


The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) FlexTech Program is designed to help commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations improve their energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions through customized technical assistance.


The FlexTech Program provides financial support for energy studies, strategic planning, and project implementation guidance, helping businesses make informed investment decisions in clean energy solutions.


Benefits of FlexTech Program


Cost-Shared Energy Studies: NYSERDA covers up to 100% of the cost for energy assessments conducted by qualified consultants - studies can evaluate energy efficiency opportunities, renewable energy integration, and decarbonization strategies.


Customized Technical Assistance: businesses receive tailored recommendations for energy upgrades, carbon reduction strategies, and operational improvements - the program supports feasibility studies and long-term energy planning.


Strategic Planning: the program supports companies in achieving carbon neutrality and compliance with New York’s clean energy goals, helping businesses navigate policies such as the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) and Local Law 97.
